Janae Burks

B.S., Chemistry, Spelman College, Class of 2025

Janae was born in Antioch, CA and currently attends Spelman College in Atlanta, GA pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. Prior to her undergraduate research at Georgia Tech, she worked on synthesizing organometallic compounds containing uranium for two consecutive summers at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In her free time, Janae enjoys binge-watching some of her favorite TV shows and exploring new and fun activities around Atlanta. After obtaining her undergraduate degree she plans on pursuing a graduate degree in inorganic or in radiochemistry.
